The Italian wine bar located in New York’s West Village was awarded ‘Best Wine Bar’ in 2008 by New York magazine. Menus feature refined, small plates from local food sources of seasonal variety.

The strategy behind creating a brand identity for Gottino was to conjure the spirit of the Italian renaissance within a modern context. Rustic motif is prominent throughout the creation of the full identity system: logo, business card, menus, wine list, signage, and awning. The look was kept authentic and traditional, evoking the nostalgic air of lounging at a neighborhood wine bar in Southern Italy.
