Becoming A Member

5 in 1 is an open environment that lends itself to collaboration, critique and the generation of ideas. For each new applicant, it is important to understand that this isn’t your traditional office studio environment where individuals enjoy the benefit of their own space. We are all independent designers, working into our own business’, but at the same time, open to the possibility of collaboration. Because of the dynamic nature of the studio, we open ourselves to the possibilities of reaching out and engaging client work as a singular entity, under the umbrella of 5 in 1.

Through an application process we evaluate potential members based on their professional merits and portfolios. Individuals or small companies, submit their portfolios and resumes to be reviewed and evaluated. If an individual is selected, they are called in for an interview and for a tour of the space, at which point we see if there is both a professional and personal connection.

Once an individual becomes a member, they are entitled to all the benefits of 5 in 1, from office amenities such as high speed wireless connections, color printing, fax line, conference room, kitchen and storage to marketing and PR opportunities.
